Volumes 1-3 complete the picture from JLA issue #1

I really enjoyed reading Grant Morrison's work on JLA. Reading through these Deluxe Editions has been my first time reading through the series. I liked it pretty well. This volume is the last book with a portion of the cover of JLA #1 on its binding. If you want to complete the image for when the books stand on your shelf you only need volumes 1-3. After that the volumes feature solo images of JLA members on the binding. If you care about that, you might want to stop collecting the volumes here, unless you want the rest of Morrison's run which is continued in Volume 4 (w/ Superman on the binding) or if you want to collect the entire JLA series for your library.

The Starro storyline was pretty awesome. There is even a cameo of the Sandman, The Lord of Dreams. Very well executed, fun and exiting.
The Ultramarines story was also pretty cool. I was surprised how the JLA, as powerful as it is, got their asses kicked almost the whole book. Pretty fun!.
Crisis Times Five was a JLA/JSA crossover. It was great to see the old and new generation of superheros together. It was a mess dimensional flick but it paid off completely.
Why I give it only 4 stars?. The 1'000,000 issue had absolutely NOTHING to do there. Is an issue without begining nor end. I didn't enjoyt it at all.

Besides this, the book is awesome.

Am absolutely enjoying, "Darkenss Before Dawn," by Ellen G. White.

Any book by Ellen G. White is a great book. A small book, "Darkness Before Dawn: Finding Hope for The Future" is an awesome read about end times, taking excerpts from Mrs. White's best book, "The Great Controversy." Topics include: Have you ever wondered: Why do so many innocent people suffer? Why are there so many problems in the world today, & why does no one seem to have any answers. What really happens when a person dies? Why has there been such a decline in moral values in society & what will be the final result? What are the real social, political, & religious issues facing the world today? How can I find personal peace? Where is God when I hurt?

You'll get the insight that you need to make sense of what is happening in the world around you. You'll learn where our world is headed, how you're involved, & how it will all end.

Scripture from the King James Bible provides the back-up throughout the book.

If you like this small book, get the expanded, "The Great Controversy," by Mrs. White.

A must read

This book Darkness Before Dawn is one of many of Ellen G. Whites book that is an excellent read. It's easy to understand and certainly appreciate in these last day events. Turn off your TV and tune into the Bible and then Ellen's writing for the rest of God's anointed servant who has so eloquently displayed Satan deceptive plot to ensnare God's people. But thanks be to God who says, "Not one will be plucked out my hand." Read it and then ask the Holy Spirit to help you apply it to your life. I did.

Must read!!!!

This book helps revisit the warnings and promises of God stipulated in the Bible! Every Christian must read this! It puts in perspective the machinations, wiles, and snares of the enemy through contemporary innovations, babblings of people of status, fame, and authority; especially those who claim to have a mandate from God Himself to interpret His word and precepts! Jesus is coming!!! Repent!!!!
