Reed Benson is director of a private Christian academy, an adjunct university lecturer, and an ordained minister. He is the author of two previous books, and his articles have appeared in several periodicals. He and his wife have been married for twenty-three years and are the parents of seven children and one grandchild.

No longer a theory, this is a fact and here is the evidence Caucasians are descendants of ancient Israel! EXCITING!

Having digested this wonderfully written and researched tome chocked full of photographs, I bought four more copies for gifts to family and dear friends. Reed Benson writes very well and with one of my degrees being in English, I am very critical. I found only two possible errors and those may be considered artistic license.

While the author characterized his book to me as introductory presenting a modicum of information needed to understand the argument, I found it definitive, concise and providing necessary information succinctly to the reader. Having read extensively in this area, Reed Benson with his "The Anglo-Israel Thesis" has produced a work that will not only stand the test of time, it is destined to become a major reference in understanding the world today and true history in comparison and contrast to the lies and revisionist history that dominates public schools and schools of higher education (colleges and universities) in the United States.

I highly recommend!

A great mystery revealed!

Engaging and interesting. I have not finished it, but I am excited about the material thus read so far. It has just enough facts to whet the appetite without overwhelming you, but gives you a chance to do more personnel research if desired, I read some daily as I am a slow reader nowadays due to diminished eyesight. but I am looking forward to updating this review when completed... Bring a yellow marker as there are plenty of golden nuggets of truth that are worth writing down and reviewing. thank you and I look forward to the next book.

Some elements are based on opinion rather than true facts ...

Some elements are based on opinion rather than true facts through study. Such as the claim that Greece and Italy were Israelites. While some Israelites were there from the Diaspora which is provable. I have no evidence including the Bible that these were Israel irish nations. In fact Daniel chapter 7 would seem to indicate otherwise as it outlines the pagan nation empires that would come after Babylon.

About the Author
Ed Wilson attended Vanderbilt, the University of Edinburgh, and Yale University where he received the first Doctor of Fine Arts degree awarded by Yale. He has taught at Vanderbilt, Yale, Hunter College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Most recently he has been Executive Director of the Segal Theatre Center at the CUNY Graduate Center. He is the author or co-author of three of the most widely used college theater textbooks in the U. S. The tenth edition of his pioneer book, The Theater Experience, was published in 2006 by McGraw-Hill. The sixth edition of his text Theater: The Lively Art(co-authored with Alvin Goldfarb) will be published by McGraw Hill in theDecember, 2006. The fourth edition of his theater history, Living Theatre: Histories of Theatre, (also co-authored with Alvin Goldfarb) will be published in December, 2006. He is also the editor of Shaw on Shakespeare, recently re-issued by Applause Books.

He has produced plays on and off Broadway and served one season as the resident director of the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia. He also produced a feature film, The Nashville Sound, recently made available on DVD. He is the author of two original plays, a farce, The Bettinger Prize, and a play about Ponce de Leon, Waterfall. He wrote the book and lyrics for a musical version of Great Expectations. All three have been given a series of successful readings in New York City and elsewhere. Great Expectations was given a full production for three weeks in February and March, 2006, at the Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke, Virginia. He conceived the idea of a musical revue of the songs of Jerome Kern which had a well-received try-out production in the fall of 2004 at Catholic University in Washington, D. C.

Ed has served a number of times on the Tony Nominating Committee and the Pulitzer Prize Drama Jury, most recently on the Pulitzer Jury in 2003. For twenty two years he was the theater critic of the Wall Street Journal. A long time member of the New York Drama Critics Circle, he was president of the Circle for several years. He is on the board of the John Golden Fund and was also for many years on the Board of the Theater Development Fund, of which he served as President.

Alvin Goldfarb is President and Professor of Theatre at Western Illinois University. Dr. Goldfarb also served as vice president and provost, dean of Fine Arts, and chair of Theatre at Illinois State University. Dr. Goldfarb holds a Ph.D. in theater history from the City University of New York and a master's degree from Hunter College. He is the coauthor of Living Theatre:A History and coeditor of The Anthology of Living Theater with Edwin Wilson. Dr. Goldfarb is also the coeditor, with Rebecca Rovit, of Theatrical Performance during the Holocaust: Texts, Documents, Memoirs, which was a National Jewish Book Award finalist. He has published numerous articles and reviews in scholarly journals and anthologies. Dr. Goldfarb served as a member of the Illinois Arts Council and president of the Illinois Alliance for Arts Education. He has received service awards from the latter organization as well as from the American College Theater Festival. Dr. Goldfarb also received an Alumni Achievement Award from the City University of New York Graduate Center's Alumni Association.

Festivals and Markets. Arezzo hosts a monthly Antique Fair, considered by many the most important in Italy with over 200 dealers winding all around the old city center. Twice a year the four neighborhoods compete in the Joust of the Saracino, complete with full Medieval regalia. Every evening the locals walk up and down Corso Italia in the passeggiata to visit with friends before dinner. Saturday mornings are for the large open air market selling everything from food to shoes to toys to kitchen wares.

We went to Arezzo a few years ago, but this time, armed with guidebook we visited again. I wanted to let you know how helpful the book was. I had not noticed the bas-reliefs on the barrel vault of the main door of Pieve Santa Maria or visited the Museo Ivan Bruschi before, let alone the Telecommunications Museum which, like you, we stumbled on unexpectedly.

I was delighted to find your book on the area on Amazon before our visit earlier this month.

I just finished your book and wanted to tell you I enjoyed it very much. I am planning to go to the Tuscany area next June for a wedding and it gave me a lot of usual information. Because of your book I plan on setting up shop in Arezzo for a few days.

Inside Tuscany Travel Principles

Principle 1: Go slow and easy. Plan to return.
Slow travel is where it's at. Focus on a few things in depth rather than many things lightly. Rushing from one place to another for 10 to 20 minutes gets in the way of true appreciation of the culture. You have to believe that you will return and that quantity of sites doesn't equal quality of trip.

Principle 2: Adapt and learn new things.
Trying new things leads to adventures and stories that you'll never forget. Remember that it is not our hosts' responsibility to make things "just like home" -- give up the catsup -- it's our responsibility to enjoy the differences and to make their home ours.

Principle 3: Travel cheap.
Expensive chain four-star hotels and tourist-based restaurants shelter you from the local people, culture, and best food. They prey upon your insecurities. (The number of stars in a hotel's name relates to how many services the hotel provides, not cleanliness.) Take a leap: use the one, two, or three star hotels and look for the less expensive restaurants where locals eat. So what if the menu is not in English -- go for it. The fewer euros you spend, the more you need to interact with people, and the more you interact, the more fun you have. It costs nothing to join the evening passeggiata, but it is an unforgettable experience.

Principle 4: Come to "tour" and to "live."
When touring, do everything you can to live there. Put your clothes in the drawers, closets, and wardrobes -- even just for a couple of nights. Walk slowly through the streets, look for restaurants to visit. Shop for meats, cheeses, and wines for a picnic. Look around and tell yourself, "I live here." Use a base to reduce wasted time moving from place-to-place and to get to know a place well.

Principle 5: Put your camera -- and cell phone -- down and look around.
Pictures are nice -- memories are better. It's a richer experience to see through your naked eyes rather than a viewfinder. If you want pictures, look with your eyes first and save it in your memory. Don't wait to see your vacation until you watch the video at home or on YouTube.

Principle 6: Fly under the radar.
We Americans often shock our hosts because we are loud in voice and dress. You'll never hide your tourist status or that you are an American -- nor should you -- but you can fly under the radar. Leave your baseball caps at home. Locals don't wear T-shirts with advertising. Be humble and respectful in actions and dress appropriately to earn our hosts' respect and gratitude. A little enthusiasm for their culture and listening wins people over.

Principle 7: Does €25.00 really matter?
Money flows like water while traveling and it's possible to get too obsessed by it. You may decide to forgo a restaurant meal for a couple of pizzas and drinks for €25.00. A three-course meal for two at an authentic local restaurant might cost you €50.00. One month later, when you are home, will you really worry about that €25.00? Or, will you wish that you'd tried that restaurant?

Principle 8: Pack light, walk easy.
No one ever returns home from a trip and says, "I wish I'd packed more." I live out of a carry-on for three months. You want to be flexible and able to travel quickly without dragging 100 pounds of large suitcases to the hotel. Lay everything out on the bed before you leave and put half of it away -- then do it again. Remember, you'll probably never see those people again and they don't care whether you've worn the same shirt and pants five days in a row. Take light clothes that you can wash easily in the sink and that will dry fast -- I've learned to leave my cotton knit shirts and jeans home.

Excellent travel guide

My wife and I used this unique very personal guide on our stay in the Arezzo area last month. Arezzo is an enchanting small city in southeast Tuscany with medieval roots as attested to by the stone wall that surrounds it. Scott Tiezzi Grabinger's book is well organized, easy to follow and full of both practical information and insights about the town, the area and Italian culture in general. It includes tips about places to stay and to eat with some excellent restaurant recommendations that we can vouch for having followed them. An entire section is devoted to detailed descriptions of the several medieval and Renaissance era churches worthwhile visiting in Arezzo and another to the several interesting museums. Both chapters contain valuable historical tidbits and detailed descriptions of the art work. The recipes for popular Tuscan dishes are a bonus.

The author is not only knowledgeable but also clearly enamored with his subject. His infectious enthusiasm helped us enjoy and appreciate this wonderful part of Tuscany.

Most Information per Inch

Although this book is pretty expensive, it is the best one stop place for almost every drug in veterinary medicine. The 6th edition is updated with a few more drugs than the 5th edition. Each page gives you information on the drug, including brand names, categories, use and indication, action, adverse effects, how it's metabolized once in the body, drug interaction, contraindications, dosages, and more! I shopped around quite a bit before committing to buy my edition and Amazon.com had the cheapest and best quality for my dollar and have all my resources in one place!

best referance, Plumb's is a Plum

if you are in the veterinary field, you need this book!! I have bought the newest edition of Plumbs as each one has come out. If a medication is used in veterinary treatments, approved or not for animal use, Plumbs will tell you everything about that drug. Drawbacks, cautions, dosages,(including which dosage for different species, as well as dosages for different problems). I have been a vet tech for close to 30 years, and this is the best drug referance I have ever used.

Great broad list of drugs

This is the desk version so it is small and compact to allow you to carry it with you and have easier access to it. However that does mean that there are more pages so it is quite thicker than the full size book. However, the book itself is a wonderful list of drugs - anesthetics, antibiotics, analgesics - listed in alphabetical order. It also lists pros, cons, and dosages for all situations. Great book to keep for a long time

Twins and their implications are illuminated by a staff reporter for the New Yorker in this compelling, well-researched overview. Anchoring the reader in the historical mystique of twinship, Wright (Remembering Satan) documents humanity's low point in studying the special nature and possibilities of twins by recapping the horrific experiments of Josef Mengele. Wright proceeds to outline the newest research being conducted regarding twins, describing how separated-twin studies have thrown open the door on the nature-vs.-nurture debate. This is tricky ground fraught with political and social-policy land mines, but Wright does an admirable job of sorting through the differing research in a well-reasoned, clearheaded manner. He also provides a plethora of anecdotes of eerie similarities between twins separated at birth, such as personal habits and choices in spouses and careers. One notable British pair who were reunited later in life shared such puzzling traits and life events as frugality, marriage to men they met at local dances at age 16 and an avoidance of voting, except for a single instance when they worked as polling clerks. They even shared the habit of pushing their noses up, which they inexplicably called "squidging." Clear and compulsively readable, Wright's slim book sheds light on the allure of twinship: "The fantasized twin that we carry about in our minds is not only an idealized partner in the experience of being who we are, he is also a means of escape from the life we are living." YA-Twin girls are given up for adoption. One is doted on, the center of her upper-middle-class family's existence, the other is subtly rejected by her mother, and is not the center of her lower-class family's life. Which would most likely be the one described as, "tense, demanding...clinging to her blanket...crying when left alone"? Surprisingly, the description aptly describes both girls. Wright presents the conflicting, and often confounding results from twin studies done primarily over the last 50 years. Most people have heard the stories of separated twins (and one well-publicized case of triplets) being reunited as adults only to find astonishing similarities in their habits and personalities. The "nature versus nurture" debate has yet to be settled; if anything the studies add confusion to the mix. Wright offers summaries of research and the stories of researchers themselves; conclusions reached and discarded, and describes why twin studies fascinate us. The "shared" and "nonshared" environments of identical twins, and the differences in development that result from these experiences, offer new insight. The book serves up questions such as: "Do our genes determine our personality?" "How much, if any, effect do parents have on the personalities of their children?" These questions are not answered; readers are left to ponder the possibilities and draw their own conclusions.

Real insight into the human condition

This book provides proof for the perennial "Environment vs Genes" debate about humankind and personal destiny. After reading this book, I have come around 180 degrees - it's genes. Stories of separated twins leading essentially parallel lives are so compelling, that I realized that we are all propelled through our lives by personality. Our individual fates are controlled mostly by our abilities and instincts than by the conditions of our life. Those abilities and instincts are largely genetic. Far from being a kind of predestination, this frees us to live fully through our personalities, our selves. It frees us from the myth that we are victims of fate - we, our instincts and our abilities are all its shapers.

Frankly, if this book does change your view on who you are, you are not paying attention. Authoritative and even handed, the author raises questions that will stay with you long after the book is finished. One of the most absorbing books I've read in a long time (and I read a lot!).

A book that ends "nurture vs. nature" debate

This is a unique book, a book that worth its weight in gold. All parents should read this book. All politicians and policy-makers should read this book. All school teachers should read this book. All social scientists should read this book. Why? Because this is the book that could end all debates on nature vs. nurture.

Identical twins are, in a sense, best gifts nature can give us to understand about ourselves especially if they were reared apart. This affords us to investigate whether environments and socioeconomic backgrounds, or the genetics have greater or major influence over our personalities, political and religious inclinations and so on.

This book mainly details studies done by Dr. Peter Neubauer (chapters 1 and 3 -- four sets of identical twins plus one set of identical triplets) and Dr. Thomas J. Bouchard (chapter 4 -- sixty six pairs of identical twins and two sets of identical triplets). Other major studies were also cited in this book.

The amazing conclusion from these studies showed that despite the different socioeconomic backgrounds and environments these twins and triplets were raised, they have, in many, many aspects, become the same person. This proves that nurture has very little to do with forming our personality, interests, inclinations, etc. and that nature is the dominate factor. Here is a quote from the last chapter of this book:

"We think we are born with the potential to be many things, and to behave in an infinite variety of ways, and that we consciously navigate a path through the obstacles and opportunities that life presents us with, through a faculty we called freewill. But when we read about twins who have been separated at birth and reunited in middle age only to discover that in many respects, they have become the same person. It suggests that ... The experiences that we presume have shaped us are little more than ornaments or curiosities we have picked up along the way and that the injunctions of our parents or the traumas of our youth that we believed to have been the lodestones of our character may have had little more effect on us than a book we may have read or a show we have seen on television ... Twin studies, have made a persuasive case that much of our identity is stamped on us from conception; to that extent, our lives seem to be pre-chosen -- all we have to do is live out the script that is written in our genes."
