Kent Greenfields lives in Texas with his wife and young son, and enjoys writing about the credit reporting industry and other topics. 

Several years ago he was a victim of credit card fraud, and he spent almost five years learning the ins and outs of the credit reporting industry while going through the process of learning effective ways to remove inaccurate and negative information from his credit reports when the credit bureaus, credit card companies and collection agencies weren't complying with the law.

A former United States Marine, Kent is now the owner of an independent publishing company and a contributor to the Semper Fi Fund, a military charity which is dedicated to helping out military members from all branches of the United States military who are in need.

This should have been a flop. Yet why am I still shaking.

If your fortunate to have landed a copy of Psycho 2, I must be respectful to the public audience and warn you: your in for a big surprise. The prose is simple and efficent, Bloch dosen't bother with tantilising us with un-neccessary diolouge- everything that's in this book is there for a reason and every sentence has an alterior motive. I'm am 17 years old and I cant help asking, why dosen't anyone know who Bloch is. He's a mascot of writers past. He has influenced many writers ( McDonald, King, Straub) and myself. This is a fantastic book, very enjoyable and totally unpredicatable. Why was it never adapted for film? Bloch at his best.

Well, I dont really know what to say. It is certainly much larger than the first book, but it doesnt get many more good points than that. It has a good begining that gets you wanting to read more and more, but in between the first few chapters and the end, it talks about hollywood life ... I kept reading because I thought it was going somewhere, but I was wrong. The begining and the end were good, but the 3hundred pages or so in between were just awefull. I only recomend it if you are a die hard Robert Bloch fan.

Not Like the Movie

Surprisingly this book has nothing in common with the movie "Psycho II" other than the title. I was glad, because I didn't enjoy this at all and that is rare for me to dislike something by Robert Bloch. It's a most forgettable book. It's good to obtain to see what it's like. But for entertainment purposes, I'd watch the movie instead. The movie takes us back to the Bates Motel with Norman getting out of the mental hospital after many years. And that's what we expect when we hear "Psycho II". Not this.

This is the kind of book that will make even older academics say, “I dearly wish I’d had this when I was a grad student myself.” It should be required reading for all academic researchers, especially those doing work on thesis- or dissertation- or book-length projects. It is written by a sociologist who draws on a great deal of personal research experience himself, as well as on his position of having guided the work of many graduate students, of whom he writes, “they asked the questions that made me realize what I was failing to teach.” This guide is one of the strongest antidotes available to the naïve notion that “one stop shopping” on the Internet or in a few subscription databases is adequate for real scholarship. In Abbott’s own words, “my computational experience gives me an insider’s view of digital knowledge tools, and my skepticism about them—of which more below—is based not on simple conservatism but on having extensively used such tools.” The author’s hands-on experience is evident throughout the book from the many examples he gives. Particularly refreshing—and valuable—is his emphasis on the importance of the serious reading of actual books. “You cannot do serious research entirely by scanning, skimming, extracting, or other forms of surface engagement.” Equally important is his discussion of browsing in book stacks as in important component of research—an art and a skill that is nowadays too often entirely overlooked by those who think that specifying keywords in a blank search box is generally all that is needed to retrieve whatever one is searching for. In Abbott’s words, “Since keyword tools produce immense lists most of whose entries are useless, those who develop them have created sorting mechanisms to bring the useful material to the top. Most of these ‘relevance’ sortings are themselves useless”; and “search engine rankings are not reliable guides to quality.” Any students who have relied on Google searching to the neglect of more powerful and more focused sources will breathe an “Amen,” time after time, in reading this book—all the more often if the only “information literacy” instruction they’ve received in their classes has consisted of talks on “how to think critically about the web sites you’ve found,” as if finding web sites alone were all that is necessary, as long as you “think critically” about them. Abbott is particularly good in laying out what is needed in the design of research projects, paying particular attention to the methods of efficiently creating and managing files that allow for changes in the project’s goals as new information is discovered. This, too, is something that gets swept under the rug in too many conventional information literacy classes: the awareness, even the inevitability, that the direction of one’s project may itself change radically as new information is discovered through various stages of inquiry—stages that extend well beyond the initial “one stop shopping” that is held up as the ultimate goal by many librarians who lack Abbott’s practical experience and downright “savvy.” Abbott is also especially insightful in his recommendations concerning how to read and evaluate sources—his advice reminds me in some ways of Mortimer Adler’s and Charles Van Doren’s _How to Read a Book_, a classic that itself ought to be more widely read. In short, if you are an academic: read this book, no matter where you are in your career; but if you’re just starting out, read it twice.

As a current graduate student, there is quite a bit of mystery in terms of what constitutes a 'successful' academic paper. Often, at least, in my experience professors assume the process of research, writing and editing to have been mastered by us.This book fills in any gaps in knowledge a student (particularly at the graduate level) might have in pursuing their research. There are some questions that seem almost too obvious to ask and this book helps you answer them. In the book, Abbott takes his reader through each stage of the research process and provides explanations for things that are perfunctory but lacking any rationale (for example, you'll learn the purpose of an annotated bibliography!).Abbott's thoughtful and lucidly written work has greatly helped me with my research process, and I expect to continuously refer to it as I ​progress towards my dissertation.I highly recommend this student to any student in the social sciences or humanities. It is clearly written and does not dumb down information while simultaneously being highly informative.

A small proportion of books repay multiple readings. If you are a young scholar working on a large research project, this is one of them. I read it first while searching around for a dissertation topic. I read it a second time in the early phase of actually writing the dissertation. The book was incredibly rich with useful practical advice on both readings, but different portions of it have struck me as particularly important depending on the problems I was grappling with at any moment. Your own research design will not end up modeling Abbott's in all details, but that's not the goal of the book. The goal is to help you conceptualize library research as a skill, which can be learned and honed, without giving up all the serendipitous benefits that come from browsing, talking random walks, reconceptualizing your question and so on. It succeeds brilliantly at that -- it will make you a more successful and a more efficient library researcher.

Dante is the Man! Great conclusion to this series!

London scared the crap out of me at the end of SB, book 1! I knew she was planning to do something horrid to Dante for his so called betrayal. So I had attitude with London since the end of a SB. I am team Dante all the way and I totally agree with every decision and every action he executed in SB! I knew London had something up her sleeve. However, I had no idea London would resort to becoming an immature semi- drunk! After reading this delicious story and understanding her psyche a bit more, it's obvious her antics and the drinking were coping mechanisms. The little heffa's shenanigans did absolutely NOTHING to deter Dante, however. He loved. He indulged her. He took care of her until she did the unthinkable.....the club scene stunt. He lost control and she broke him. I cried as I witnessed how broken Dante became when he'd finally had enough of London and her antics. The only saving grace is in breaking Dante she broke also. The End? Uh not even. After weeks apart the two lovebirds end up in Paris for some much needed time together.

I thought Paris was the end of the story. I was like damn TB is pretty tame compared to SB. I should have known Dante wouldn't let us down! London's father is still a threat (read book 1 for full story) and Dante knows until he eliminates the threat, London will never be safe. Dante makes the ultimate sacrifice to save the love of his life.....man talk about a freakin tear jerker! After that stunt on the streets of Paris it was two days before I could pick up from that craziness! London's suffering is unreal. Jaci J did her thing exploiting London's anguish! Heavy stuff! Kudos Jaci girl!

The final 20% of the story is worth every single word, every bit of emotion, and every tear shed. Dante is the MAN! I absolutely love this dude and really hate TB is the end for this crazy couple. However I am more than satisfied with the conclusion of the series.

Five gazillion stars for this crazy emotional roller coaster!

So Disappointed

Talk about a huge disappointment in a sequel...I really enjoyed the first book and the way London spoke to Dante and what she said to him at the end of the first book I was really looking forward to starting the 2nd book...I really thought she was going to be this strong, confident woman that went up against him but all she turned out to be was a whiny, pathetic woman with 0 self respect. The book starts off with her having run off like a coward to Italy for 6 weeks. For someone so adamant about how her grandfathers company was so important to her, couldn't believe she ran instead of fighting. Also not sure how her constantly telling Dante that she hated him was that big of a deal when she pretty much still did everything he said and was still sleeping with him...words don't really mean all that much when your actions say something completely different...it got old annoying real quick when it seemed she said it to him so much...seriously...get some new lines. Her idea of revenge was throwing temper tantrums worse than a 2 year old. I expected a lot more from this book but it was really a let down.

Team Dante!!

Jaci J is a new writer to me and I'm so glad I had the chance to read this and Sick Bastard!

I found London and Dante to be so engaging and at times, I was rooting for them to make it work and at times screaming for one or both to walk away. The back and forth, love and hate, kept me on my toes and wondering where they would end up. I found myself mostly rooting for Dante, understanding that the difficulty of the life he came from lead him to be narcissistic and neurotic. Even with the lies and games, he loved London in the only way he knew how. London on the other hand had to accept a lot of change in a short time as her life tipped completely on it's head. Yeah, she had tantrums and at times acted like a 20 something... wait, she is a 20 something! Her reactions and actions struck me as being realistic to all the drama. I really enjoyed the books and highly recommend reading both. You're in for a ride, but the end is worth it!
